San Jose Jazz sets initial Summer Fest lineup

The 25th annual San Jose Jazz Summer Fest 2014 has announced its initial lineup. The event is set for August 8-10 in downtown San Jose.

San Jose Jazz Summer Fest 2014 features an acclaimed roster of artists: Bootsy Collins, Con Funk Shun, Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Snarky Puppy, Jerry González and the Fort Apache Band, Jimmy Bosch, Conjunto Chappottín y Sus Estrellas, Aaron Lington Quintet Plays the Music of Paul Simon, Pedrito Martinez Group featuring Ariacne Trujillo, Otonowa Project, Gypsy Allstars and San Jose Jazz High School All Stars.
Starting today through May 18, festival-goers can purchase three-Day passes for a special Insider price.
Since its inception, San Jose Jazz has brought more than $300 million to downtown San Jose. Through its year-round youth education programs, live music events, and unparalleled commitment to providing performance and classroom opportunities for emerging and pre-professional music students, San Jose Jazz is thrilled to contribute to the national arts movement by fostering a positive social and economic impact on the greater community.
For the first time in San Jose, prominent music industry website,, hosts its annual JazzWeek Summit to coincide with Summer Fest from Aug. 7-8. Jazz broadcasters and other jazz professionals from all over the country will gather at The Fairmont San Jose to discuss ways to program and promote jazz.
