The San Francisco Zoo has an adorable new addition, a red panda, and the little one will be getting a name next week.

On Wednesday the zoo will officially welcome a 10-month-old male red panda and reveal his name. The red panda is the first of its species for the San Francisco Zoo and is native to the eastern Himalayas and western China. Emeritus Board Member, Barry Lipman, and his wife, Marie, have donated more than $30-thousand for the honor of naming the red panda.

The little guy will be housed in a custom-made enclosure built by Pete Nelson of "Treehouse Masters" on Animal Planet. If you miss the unveiling, the one-of-a-king enclosure will also be the subject of an episode of the program, set to air in June.

The Red Panda Exhibit will officially be on display to the public on May 10th.
