San Francisco welcomes Air France A380

Air France's A380 super jumbo jet arrived for the first time in San Francisco on Monday, June 6, 2011. The daily nonstop flight to Paris will be flown by the A380 for the summer season ending on September 4, 2011.

San Franciso's International Terminal was designed to accommodate super jumbo jets such as the A380. The terminal, which opened 11 years ago, will now be used daily by two A380s- both flying San Francisco residents to Europe nonstop. Air France and Lufthansa began A380 service to San Francisco within one month of each other.
