The third annual San Francisco Ski & Snowboard Festivals will return to San Francisco (November 6-7) and Santa Clara (November 13-14) to inspire Bay Area skiers and boarders to get ready for winter in a “pray for snow” party atmosphere.
The venue will showcase not only the latest ski and snowboard gear for the upcoming winter but will also offer premiere wine (Saturday) and boutique beer tasting (Sunday). Any Mountain and Lombardi Sports will have over $1 million worth of gear on sale at discounted prices for event participants. Over 150 wineries and breweries will be attending and offering tastes of their newest flavors this year.
Entertainment will feature resort booths from over 20 of the top resorts in North America including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Whistler, Vail, Mammoth, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Big Sky and many more, including all Lake Tahoe resorts. Pro-BMX demonstrations will thrill the crowd on an in-door half-pipe inside the venue. Jonny Moseley and Daron Rahlves will be on hand to sign autographs.
The event will likely sell out again this year with over 20,000 attendees expected at each festival but attendees can get tickets online at SFSkiFest.com. General Admission tickets are $20 per day, with a $40 ticket option that includes beer/wine tasting, commemorative glassware, a one year subscription to either Ski or Transworld Snowboarding Magazine, a free meal from Wahoos Fish Taco, and a Value Pack including three free lift tickets.
“Our festivals are revolutionizing the consumer ski show industry,” said Jim McAlpine, President of Snowbomb.com and promoter of the events. “These events are unlike any other out there. Not only do they include an impressive line-up of entertainment, they celebrate the longstanding affinity between skiers and snowboarders and beer and wine.”
With festivities for adults as well as kids the event has something to offer for all ages. Last year, the Oktoberfest like atmosphere on Sunday was contagious. The roars of “prost” would roll through the pavilion, intermingling with tunes being spun by DJs, turning the entire floor in to one massive party
The San Francisco & Silicon Valley Ski & Snowboard Festivals are sponsored by Warren Miller, Whistler, Mammoth Mountain, Atomic, Orage, Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, Subaru, Cholula, Southwest Vacations, Jager, Monster Energy, Any Mountain, Lombardi’s, SKI and Transworld Magazines.
The San Francisco & Silicon Valley Ski & Snowboard Festivals are operated by Snowbomb.com, based in Tahoe City, CA. Snowbomb is an online ski and snowboard community offering discount lift tickets, ride share and a significant amount of insider information about the ski resorts since1996.
