San Francisco's NOW Festival

It's festival season in San Francisco and year there is a new must-see festival: the NOW Festival. Similar to Freespace and SXSW, NOW should be at the top of your festival calendar. NOW will be happening around the iconic Panhandle neighborhood this week from April 27 – May 3, 2014. Festival events include: pop-parklets, free flower workshops, food, music, yoga, scavenger hunts, roller derby disco, bike-in movie nights, and much more.

9:00 am – Beach Clean Up - Let’s kick the week off right by doing an old-fashioned beach clean-up. | Ocean Beach. Meet where JFK hits the beach | FREE
11:00am – Pop-Up Parklet - Students at USF host a pop-up parklet creating a public space out of a metered parking spot. They will give out food for donations in an attempt to raise awareness of the unused resources around us such as public spaces and leftover food as well as gather the community around a good cause. | Corner of Haight and Belvedere | FREE (Food donations accepted)
