Continued from Part 1
Houskeeper said the following, in order to let the public know that the Lefty O'Doul's pub has carried out some good work already:
"Everyone always wants to know if kids actually get their gifts on Christmas," Houskeeper said. "Along with the police department, we've made an extra effort to get them out to various parties this year."
The toy drive, reports KTVU Channel 2 News, was winding down as of 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, though the Lefty O'Doul's pub will still be open until 2 a.m. in the morning. All other donations can still be dropped off until then, Houskeeper said.
Police and firefighters, reports the news source, will still continue to give out the toys that have been donated.
KTVU Channel 2 News says that those wishing to donate can pull up to the curb at 333 Geary St. or call Luxor Cabs for a free toy pickup at (415) 282-4141.
The toys should be new and unwrapped when you hand them in.
