San Francisco Police searching for man who set woman on fire

San Francisco, Calif. police began searching for Dexter Oliver, 22, a little after noon on Sunday after they were told he set his girlfriend Starr Lamare, 25, on fire after a laundry mat argument erupted in the Baystreet District at Hollister Avenue.

ABC News reported that San Francisco Police Officer Carlos Manfredi said witnesses reported hearing the woman screaming.

Lamare and Oliver had been dating for approximately six months before the incident according to the victim's family. And family sources say Lamare wanted to leave the couple's clothing unattended at the facility, and return to their home, and he did not.

An argument erupted, with the suspect allegedly leaving the laudromat so angrily that he ran home for some gasoline before returning.

Witnesses told KGO-TV that they heard the commotion in the street and observed the victim's shirt on fire, which she quickly removed as she began running away from the man in question, screaming.

The victim's family say that Lamare is the mother of three and is currently in critical condition at St. Francis Hospital, but is expected to survive and recover.

Police are asking anyone who comes in contact with the 5' 10", 155-pound black male to contact the San Francisco police immediately.

Dexter Oliver was last seen wearing a red and white hooded jacket, dark pajama pants, with multicolored shamrock print, and gray and red Nike tennis shoes. He has a unique haircut, which consists of a fish design on one side of his head and a lightening bolt design on the other side.
