The short film / television pilot project was written and directed by local filmmaker Henry J. Kim.
Mayor Lee, who is a huge fan of the 1986 movie "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," which was shot on location in San Francisco, told the gathered partiers that he is working to bring more film and television productions to the City in the future.
Kim also offered to put Lee in his next film project.
Former California Assembly member Fiona Ma was among the many politicians who have rallied to support Kim's project.
The San Francisco-based Kim shot the project on $7,000 utilizing numerous locations in the City, including at the Pritikin mansion and The Grand night club.
"All Men Are Thieves" is described as a crime drama starring Lanny Joon and Frederick Szkoda with Brandon Hanson, Levy Tran, Erin Tjoe, and Nicki Sun.
The project was based on a script by Kim and Szkoda. It was produced by Michael Kaney, Ward Sorrick, Daniel Delgado, Henry Chu, Alun Lee, and Erin Tjoe.
