It's been a crazy year for housing, no doubt about it. And architects (with something like 40% unemployment) have been having a terrible time of it too. But if you want to take a weekend to dream, plan, or just plain look at some fine residential architecture, then this Saturday and Sunday are for you.
The American Institute of Architects San Francisco Living: Home Tour occurs September 11-12 as part of the AIA's month long Architecture + City Festival.
This year features eleven residences throughout the city designed by local architects. The tour is self-paced with six homes on Saturday and five on Sunday. These are all private residences that are normally unavailable for public viewing. Home Tour headquarters is at The Stable, 2128 Folsom, where tickets can be purchased.
