2010 MLB season preview: San Francisco Giants If the San Francisco Giants could ever qualify for the playoffs they would be unbeatable. They just may have the best starting rotation in all baseball. Think about it Tim Linecum, Matt Cain, Jonathan Sanchez, and I forget to mention Barry Zito. Freaking awesome. The Problem is offense. They didn’t chase the big money free agents during the off season but added quality veterans instead, however if they can score some runs they will be very hard to beat. |

2009 MLB season in review: San Francisco Giants It is somewhat hard to evaluate the 2009 season of the San Francisco Giants. ON one hand they gave their fans exactly what was expected, good pitching followed by poor hitting. However given the fact that this team had a winning season, after five years of sub .500 baseball we should treat this as a success. On top of that a giant step in the right direction. On the other hand this team was competitive for five months, and when it really counted they could not get the job done. This seems to indicate that this is a team on the rise, and with the right off season moves maybe they can take the next step in 2010. |

The San Francisco Giants have an interesting idea to help sell tickets The San Francisco Giants' baseball team has signed a deal with a software company that will help the ballclub sell single-game tickets. These tickets will be sold off in much the same way that airlines sell tickets as the date of the flight grows near. Up to 2,000 of the Giant's outfield and bleacher seats will be priced by the demand for that particular game. |

San Francisco Giants buy stake in minor league team This move is very likely the first in a long game of chess between the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland A’s. The prize is the territorial rights to Santa Clara County, California. The Giants think they own the rights to the county, even though the A’s are known to be looking at sites there to build their new stadium. |
