San Francisco foodies take advantage of Dine About Town promotion (Photos)

It's that time of year again. "Dine About Town" arrives in January and in June, a chance for visitors and residents alike to take advantage of San Francisco's fine restaurants for less. The 12th annual promotion dates are January 15 through January 31, 2013.

How many restaurants?

There are more than 100 participating restaurants all over the city offering the lunch deal, the dinner deal or both. Diners are welcome to go as many time as they choose to any of the restaurants, although reservations are recommended at this busy time.

49 square miles of choice

From steak houses to vegan emporiums, from the Waterfront on the bay to the Cliff House overlooking the Pacific, diners are spoiled for choice. Choose Italian or Indian, oysters to olives. There's a great choice of classic spots, upcoming trendy ones, famous hotel restaurants, and charming neighbourhood gems. The online booking engine allows for choosing by location, type of cuisine, time of day, vegetarian options, and so on.

The set price for a two-course lunch at $18.95 or a three-course dinner at $36.95 is quoted on a per person basis and does not include beverage, tax or gratuity.
