The new San Francisco Boat Show will take place January 23-26 at Pier 48, adjacent to AT&T park and McCovey Cove.

Price is just $12 for adults, free for children 15 yrs & younger and free for active military personnel. Also, several discounts are available. Click here for more information and to purchase your tickets.

Parking is available adjacent to the Ballpark, in the parking lot nearest McCovey Cove and Pier 48.

This would be fantastic opportunity to check what's new in the sailing and boating world: new boat models, sailing schools, electronics, engines, canvas and boating hardware will all be available for show attendees to evaluate.

And if checking out the new toys and gadgets is enough incentive to spend one day or all four days experiencing the Boat Show, the seminar line-up is even more impressive. So far includes:

Kame Richards - Tides and Currents
Kimball Livingston - Sailing SF Bay
John Connolly - Heavy Weather Sailing
Andy Turpin - Baja Ha Ha / Tahiti and the Pacific Puddle Jump
Bruce Brown - Downwind Sailing Techniques
Pam Wall - Mulitiple Cruising Subjects
Pat Carson - Anchoring
John Arndt - The Highlights of Sailing San Francisco Bay
Rich Jepson - Introduction to Navigation
James Martin - The Islands of San Francisco Bay
Pat and Carole McIntosh - What's It Really Like Cruising California and Mexican Coasts?
Pat Lowther - Prepare for the Pacific Cup or Any Hawaii Passage

Furthermore, Sail America will be holding it's Discover Sailing program and offering sailboat rides. This is in addition to the NMMA's Discover Boating program for advanced skippering and boat handling. Sail SF Bay will be hosting a booth to get the "Why sail?" message out to show attendees.

Additionally, every major Bay Area sailboat dealer and sailboat brand will be on display including

Passage Yachts / Beneteau
Farallone Yachts / Catalina
JK3 / Hanse
