San Francisco 49ers reportedly obtain Anquan Boldin from the Ravens

The NFC West continues to get stronger. Just hours after the Seattle Seahawks acquired Percy Harvin from the Minnesota Vikings, the 49ers have obtain Anquan Boldin from the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. ESPN broke the news Monday reporting that the Ravens will receive a sixth-round draft choice in return.

Boldin, who was key in the Raven's run to the championship, said he was not willing to receive a pay cut from the Ravens and felt the team was asking too much.

"At no point, no matter how well I played, would I come back to the table and say, 'I need more money.' The Contract that I signed was the contract that I intended to play out."

Boldin was set to earn $6 million this upcoming season. The move seems to be lop-sided as the 49ers are receiving a reliable, tough receiver and the Ravens are just receiving a 6th round pick but perhaps the Ravens are clearing some cap space to bring in a player like Greg Jennings who is available.
