The San Diego Zoo wants to see the family. The popular attraction in Southern California is offering a special for those families in Los Angeles and the surrounding area that is worth a look. Starting on October 1 and going until October 31, the zoo is offering free admission for those kids from 3 to 11 years old. That's right a free ticket for kids.

The admission offer includes not only the San Diego Zoo but the San Diego Safari Park. With special activities at both locations available for the kids on a daily basis, the visit won’t just be seeing wild animals but also learning about the environment and the world we live in.

The San Diego Zoo usually charges thirty dollars a child for admission. For a family of four with two children would mean a savings of 30 dollars.

The San Diego Zoo is only three hours south of downtown Los Angeles when traveling by car. A perfect day trip or a weekend mini-vacation, this is one place the kids will want to visit.

More information about the free admission for kids is available on the San Diego Zoo website.
