On Sunday September 15, the San Diego Chargers lost wide receiver, Malcom Floyd to an apparent neck injury. He was injured early in the second half on the Chargers first drive. After a delay in action, Floyd was taken off the field in a stretcher and transported to the hospital. What is known, is that Malcom Floyd has movement in his arms and legs. Below is a snippet of what happened to the injured receiver, via Top 10+1.
“Early in the second half, Malcom Floyd got hit while going over the middle for the Chargers. In what looked like a catch, Floyd was hit in the head by Dameco Ryans. Right after the catch attempt Malcom Floyd had his head down just has hit happened.
After laying on the ground without much movement, Floyd was taken off on a stretcher. He still has movement in his legs and all extremities. We will keep you posted as details emerge.
Floyd is currently being transported to the hospital. With 10:04 left in the 3rd period, San Diego leads Philadelphia 20-10."
Floyd was injured when the score was 13-10. Now the score is 20-13 with the Chargers leading. There is 5:18 left in the third quarter.
Michael Vick just hit DeSean Jackson with a long touchdown pass to tie the score at 20.
