San Diego Valentine craft classes for children

Several businesses in the San Diego will be hosting Valentine’s Day craft classes or activities either before or on the big day of February 14th. These classes and activities charge a fee and require reservations unless otherwise noted. Below is a list of a few notable kids’ craft classes or activities for Valentine’s Day. Please contact the business to confirm dates, fees, and reservations before attending.

Michael’s craft stores are one of the main places in San Diego to take craft classes and get craft supplies at the same time. They have a special Kid’s Craft Club on Saturdays for kids between 2 and 15 years old. This Saturday, February 8th, the classes will be Valentine’s Day related with crafts such as cards, paintings, or other projects. The age range for February 8th is limited to kids between 2 and 8. All Kid’s Craft Club classes are $2 and projects and times vary from store to store.

On February 10th and12th, there will be free family craft classes for families with kids between 2 and 10 that will include Valentine’s Day themed projects. For families in the north county, parents can send their kids to the San Marcos Community Center or San Elijo Recreation Center for a fun night of crafts, pizza and games while the adults have their special day. This event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and the cost is $20 per child with a $5 sibling discount. Call 760-744-9000 for more details and directions or register online.

Lakeshore will have a kids’ craft class on February 8th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their various stores around San Diego. Kids will be making heart-shaped card holders. Classes are free and don’t require a reservations. Lakeshore has stores in Hazard Center at 619-297-8494, and San Marcos at 760-504-0292 for more details and directions.

Kid’s can listen to a story and make a Valentine’s Day card at Warwick’s books on February 13th at 11 a.m. This program is geared for toddlers and storybooks to be read include Pete the Cat and Love Monster (subject to change without notice) and will be available for purchase at the store.
