The San Diego Troubadour held its annual holiday party on Friday, December 20th at Queen Bee’s in North Park. The artsy- sprawled out building was perfect back drop to the performances, photos, and other creative happenings. With a guest list over 200 of San Diego’s local writers, photographers, and musical performers the open mic filled up quickly and patches of jam sessions filled each room. The Troubadour holiday party has grown over the past several years from starting out in the editor, Liz Abbott’s house to needing a much larger venue to accommodate the growing talent. The party was a blast with an open bar flowing and various dishes to nibble that had been brought by the guests; the atmosphere was complete with an open room in the back of the building that had a bon fire and acoustic guitars gathered round. For those who missed it, fear not, The Troubadour consistently attends release parties and has a monthly calendar out of what is happening plus there is always next year’s holiday fest to get on the list!
