San Diego Musical Theatre invites you to see the merry murderesses as they “razzle dazzle” you with their upcoming production of “Chicago”, February 15 – March 3, 2013!
This sharp satire follows Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart as they search for fame, fortune and an acquittal in “Chicago”! With a clever score and staging based on the iconic Bob Fosse come see what “All that Jazz” is about.
The show is Directed by Ron Kellum, Choreographed by Randy Slovacek with Musical Direction by Don LeMaster. This cast brings some extensive stage experience with them, including Alonzo Saunders who performed the role of Mary Sunshine previsouly on Broadway, Robert J. Townsend as Billy Flynn who was recently played title role in Sweeney locally and nominated for best actor in a musical by the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle. Kyra DaCosta as Velma has worked on Broadway in original cast of “Aida” as well as with performers such as Bette Midler, Steve Wonder, Sting, Billy Joel, Al Jarreau, and Aretha Franklin.
“Chicago” show times are Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
Ticket prices for “Chicago” range from $26.00, $36.00, $46.00 and $56.00. Discounts are available for Seniors and Children under 16 years of age. If you are a member of Equity or Actor’s Alliance may purchase up to 2 tickets at half price. Groups of 10 or more receive a 25% discount.
