Shaw's Cove is a popular diving destination in Southern California which is replete with denizens of the Giant Kelp forest ecosystem, making it highly desirable for underwater photographers.

Seen on the dive were also a Giant Kelpfish, a female Sheephead, numerous Perch, Blacksmith fish and Geribaldis, Purple Sea Urchins, Cobalt Sponge, Moon Sponge, Golden Gorgonians, of course, Giant Kelp and several species of algae.

Shaw's Cove is also noted for an underwater archway which divers can swim through when conditions are calm and being a protected cove, it offers diving conditions for almost any level of diver.
