I wanted to pass this exciting news on to all of you. It's a press release straight from Fashion Week San Diego. All I can say is, "Yay San Diego!"
SAN DIEGO (January 8, 2013) – Fashion Week San Diego is proud to announce that five of their emerging designers from the 2012 Runway Show were asked to participate during New York Fashion Week. Designers Stacie May, Dos Caras Swimwear, nOia, Kenneth Barlis and Jessica Faulkner were asked to participate in Nolcha Fashion Week 2013. They will take the momentum and knowledge they received from Fashion Week San Diego to one of the major fashion capitals of the world.
The producers of The Style Network’s ‘Styled to Rock’ television show reached out to Fashion Week San Diego directors for emerging designers to be cast in the reality TV show hosted and produced by singer Rhianna. Three Fashion Week San Diego 2012 designers made it through to the second round of the application process including Andre Soriano, Dos Caras Swimwear and Kenneth Barlis.
