Summer in San Diego is an amazing time for craft beer lovers. There seems to be a festival every few days, a food pairing every other night and breweries having anniversaries for successfully staying open in this tough market.
The following are some highlights for the next few weeks for craft beer enthusiasts to seek out:
Summer Solstice Ale Trail
Benchmark Brewing (Grantville), Societe Brewing Company (Kearny Mesa) and BNS Brewing and Distilling (Santee) have teamed up for anniversary celebrations in a unique way. Claim a passport at any of the three breweries and follow the Ale Trail to get stamped at each stop for prizes. Present your passport at all three tasting rooms and receive a commemorative bar towel for your effort, it's that simple.
Benchmark is holding cornhole tournaments, fund raisers and keep the glass nights all month long.
