Fashion designer, Samy Gicherman announced his participation in the International Fashion Show “ICONOCLASTA 2013” in Potosi, Bolivia.
ICONOCLASTA 2013 will be the first highest runway of the largest salt flat in the world. It will fuse elements of great importance to the country of Bolivia as fashion, tourism, gastronomy and the mystery behind the “Salar de Uyuni” -- the largest salt flat in the world.
Gicherman, who is known for his long career and experience in the field of fashion designing, his extravagant collections of Haute Couture line, Prêt-à-Porter and Brides, was invited by the Autonomous Department of Potosi in Bolivia to showcase his latest collection 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection “Con La Cara al Viento.”
“I feel honored to be invited to this unique fashion event and tourist promotion that is the utmost importance to Bolivia. I feel so excited to showcase my collection at this amazing runway of salt. I will take advantage of this perfect scenery—the sun, the incandescent mix of dessert, the freshness of the sky, along with the waves of the sea,” said Gicherman.
“My inspiration will be, the Indians “Wayuu” known as “guajiros de la peninsula” from my native country, Venezuela. The perfect complement to this flash of imagination and design.”
With a palette of colors like: blue, white, baby blue, wine and prints mixed with light fabrics as chiffon, organza and lace make this collection unique, designed for today's woman with a special touch of luxury, distinction and sophistication.
A line designed to dress a dreamer, and an uncomplicated woman with a little bohemian look ready to reconnect with the stars at nightfall.
