Samsung launches Galaxy S4 with many features parents will love

With great fanfare Samsung introduced their newest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S4 in New York's Radio City Music Hall this afternoon. The phone looks very similar to the top selling Galaxy SIII but Samsung has added a host of new features. Many of these new features are sure to make this an ideal phone for parents.

One novel feature that parents are sure to love is "smart pause". This allows the phone to automatically pause a video whenever the phone detects that the user has looked away. This will be perfect for afternoons at the park and anytime dad needs to tune in to what's happening right in front of him. For traveling families "S Translator" is sure to be a hit with voice and text translation of nine different languages as of launch time.

Several of the new features are designed for ease of use including Air View, which allows navigation without actually touching the phone, S Voice Drive for improved safety while driving, and Smart Scroll, which scrolls or turns pages just by tilting the phone. Samsung has even added a health tracking application so you can throw away your pedometer and keep track of diet.

Perhaps the coolest features for parents are a result of the improved camera. The Samsung Galaxy S4 feautures a 13 mega pixel HD camera that can record sound along with photos and automatically create story albums to be printed or shared with family and friends. Finally, "dual camera" mode allows simultaneous use of both the front facing camera and the rear camera for photos, videos, and even video calls. Now grandparents will be able to share all of the excitement of holidays with the entire family.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 runs on the newest Android operating system, Jelly Bean, and is scheduled to be released on all major U.S. cellular carriers starting in the second quarter of this year. With all of these features it is certain to be another big seller.
