On Monday morning, several websites discussed rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S5, even though the underwhelming Samsung Galaxy S4 just hit the marketplace four months ago. If you are looking for a 16MP camera with optical image stabilization on your next Galaxy S, you may be in luck.
“At first, Samsung Electronics wanted to adopt the OIS function for Galaxy Note 3, but the schedule was put off due to problems with parts supply,” the original report noted. “The OIS function is implemented in the auto focus (AF) actuator, but the supply of the OIS AF actuator is not smooth yet. Samsung is expected to smooth things out by the end of the year and have the Galaxy S5 in consumers' hands as early as March of 2014.
In addition, the Galaxy S5 is said to have a stronger build than the Galaxy S4, although it isn't known what materials the smartphone will be made of. Best of all, the battery life is also said to increase by 23 percent, which is a lot in terms of smartphones. March of 2014 cannot get here fast enough! Let's hope there won't be as many gimmicks on the Galaxy S5 as the are on the Galaxy S4.
