Some people might have been underwhelmed with the new Galaxy S4 announcement, but early tests show that there is a lot more on the inside than the outside, as BGR reports. They claim that the retooled internals on the U.S. version of theThe Galaxy S 4 scored a 3,163 on the standard Geekbench 2 speed test, just shy of twice the iPhone 5′s score of 1,596. That score was also good enough to top the upcoming HTC One, the Nexus 4 and the previous-generation Galaxy S III.
Los Angeles industry analyst Paul Mueller, who frequently contributes to this column, tells us that the phone reminds him a lot of the iPhone 4S in that people were initially disappointed but ultimately happy once they tested the phone. He says it is definitely worth the upgrade over the Galaxy S3. "You just have to see the screen to believe it. It is quite amazing," Mueller says.
