Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro update available

AT&T customers with a Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro™ can now update their phones to Android™ 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

The Samsung Rugby Pro is compatible with AT&T’s Enhanced Push to Talk (PTT) service, which enables business users to communicate faster and create larger talk groups. In addition to the great features that Jelly Bean offers, this update will also include AT&T DriveMode®, an app designed to help prevent texting while driving.

Another great feature of Android 4.1 is Google Now™, which generates real-time notifications on weather, traffic, nearby transit systems, local restaurants and places of interest, flight information, and live sports scores.

Jelly Bean makes it easier to view your notifications. Enhancements to the notification display group together updates from the same application, and allow users to expand or collapse any notification. Customers will also be able to view the full text of an SMS message and the full photo of a MMS in the notification window. Additionally, event notifications display more of the event description to let you quickly see relevant details without having to open the app.

Even more features:

Also included in the Android 4.1 update for the Rugby Pro, Quick Settings is an easy way to get to your most often used settings with a swipe from the home screen. Simply swipe to the left and you can quickly turn on/off Wi-Fi or drop into the detailed settings.

The new “filmstrip mode” in the photo gallery allows users to quickly view photos and delete from the gallery by swiping up or down.

The improved camera focus gives users a signal indicating focus quality. Jelly Bean also lets users respond by text to missed calls with a single touch.

Stay up-to-date and stay connected, guys and gals.
