T-Mobile began taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 today (Sept. 18), orders will begin shipping in October. The Galaxy Note 3 smartphone/tablet or “phablet” follows the Galaxy Note 2 in Samsung’s Galaxy Note series.
Customers can pre-order the Galaxy Note 3 from T-Mobile online for $200 down and $21 a month for 24 months. For customers who would rather purchase the phone upfront, the full price is $704.The T-Mobile branded Galaxy Note 3 requires a SIM card for activation. An additional $10 one-time charge for a SIM Starter Kit will be added to each order. T-Mobile is giving away a coupon good for 20 percent off accessories along with the Starter Kit.
The T-Mobile branded Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. There’s a built-in microSD slot for up to 64GB of additional storage. The Galaxy Note 3 features the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware and is 4G and LTE capable for data speeds of up to 42Mbps (megabits per second) on the T-Mobile network. Additional features include a built-in 1080p HD camcorder,a 2-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. The Galaxy Note 3 also is Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 capable and is powered by a 3200 mAH battery for 15 hours of talk time.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 pre-ordered devices will ship on Oct. 1, before T-Mobile’s launch date of Oct. 2. Once launched, the Galaxy Note 3 will be available online, at T-Mobile retail stores and select dealers.
