Samsung Fonblet: Will new smart phone tablet be a good deal? (Video)

The word is that a Samsung Fonblet is on the way, according to a Jan. 20 Inquisitor report. This new phone/tablet hybrid would have a 5.8-inch screen, and may be unveiled in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

For now, the Samsung Fonblet will be launched in Europe. However, if it catches on, it could invade the U.S. at any time. In addition to Samsung Fonblet, some groups have decided that the word "phablet" is also a good description of the device. This soon to be unveiled phone is expected to run on Android's Jelly Bean OS.

Honestly, this new hybrid device could be a good deal. For instance, right now you very likely have a smart phone and a tablet. If you bought something like the Samsung Fonblet, it could very well take the place of two devices. Because of that, it will probably end up saving you money in the long run. You would only have to shell out money for one device, and you would very likely only have to pay for one data plan.

Of course, it is possible that the 5.8-inch screen will make this too large to be successfully used as a phone. If this is the case, this Samsung Fonblet could end up being a failure as a phone and a tablet because it is too big to be one, and it is too small to be the other. Do you think you would be interested in a device like this?

One thing seems certain. Smartphones are getting larger, and that trend does not seem to be going away anytime soon.
