Sampling of 2014 summer events in western Massachusetts

It was a long hard winter in New England. Cabin fever has given way to outside activities and enjoyment of nature, our horses, pets and sports. Once Memorial Day has gone by, the season of summer and activities goes into full swing.

The horse shows are A-rated shows and take place in the coliseum in Springfield

Perhaps you will notice how many events are planned for the Eastern States show grounds. That is primarily because the folks there take excellent care of exhibitors and visitors alike and because Connecticut failed to build its embattled horse park.

Check out the events and, if you are nearby or feel like heading to New England for a day or several days, you’ll find a great time.
