This weekend is a time to cast aside calorie concerns and indulge in the variety of offerings that A Taste of Colorado has to offer. Happening now through Monday evening, September 3, 2012, downtown Denver will be a bustling hub of delicious aromas and decadent eats.

Join the crowds on a local taste adventure while you soak up the last days of summer sunshine and enjoy the melodies of the performing festival bands. Located in downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park at 101 West 14th Avenue, A Taste of Colorado is an annual event that captures the attention of over 500,000 people. Not surprising really when you pair the best of Colorado’s dining scene with crafts, beer and interactive exhibits. There is no doubt that this event captures the attention of the whole family and, with over 50 booths to explore, offers far more than merely an enticing dining option this Labor Day weekend.

That said, the variety of dining available ranges from corn, crepes, tea and donuts, to internationally inspired but locally produced cuisine, such as Caribbean, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean and Indian.

For the barbeque lover, Famous Dave’s will be a worthwhile point of interest. Boasting over 600 awards, Famous Dave’s is known for their saucy ribs and lip-smacking sandwiches. Get ready to lick your chops, quite literally!
