October lends itself to celebrations of beer worldwide and this year is no exception. At Connecticut's Mohegan Sun, there's plenty to explore in the world of craft brews at the second annual Sun BrewFest, Oct. 4-6.
Attendees can kick the day off on Oct. 6th at 11a.m. with beer-mosas at BrewBrunch ($75 per person). Celebrate Fall with Goose Island Vintage Series "Sophie" and Absolut Tune, accompanied by brunch dishes such as drunken beef goulash, beer and cheese risotto and raspberry wheat French toast.
An open bar will feature Goose Island beers, Bloody Marys made with Absolut vodka, and sparkling wines. Prosit! There's even dessert - creative ice creams from Mohegan Sun's pastry chefs, made with Honey Apple and Pumpkin Wheat beers from Shock Top. The event is sponsored by Goose Island.
Tasting events ($25) offer an opportunity to sample more than 100 beers from 7 to 11 p.m., play games and enjoy live entertainment by Sugar and Major Motion.
