SAMMY Awards People's Choice online voting begins today

The Syracuse Area Music Awards or SAMMYS People's Choice Award voting kicks off online today. Fans are encouraged to vote once a day every day for their favorite musicians and venues. Each Wednesday the list gets a bit smaller as the finalists from the previous week are announced. Continue to vote for the next round of finalists and support your favorites daily. I believe that you can vote from your different email addresses each day as well.

The People’s Choice Winners will be announced at the SAMMY Awards Show held on Friday, March 7, 2014, 7pm @ the Palace Theatre on 2384 James Street in Syracuse, NY. Since 2007, the SAMMYS have attracted thousands of voters through its online voting system.

On Feb. 4th at a press conference the SAMMY’s will announce the details of it’s events being held on Thursday March 6th and Friday March 7th to include the names of the 2014 Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement, Educator of the Year inductees and the 2014 SAMMY nominees.

The Hall of Fame induction takes place on March 6th upstairs at the Dinosaur BBQ while the SAMMY Awards Show is March 7th at 7pm at the Palace Theatre. Performing are:

  • The Goonies
  • Reunion by the Flashcubes
  • The SAMMY Winners, People’s Choice Awards
  • Brian Bourke Award for Best New Artist
