Well, the Hogs did it. They went 1-0 by beating Louisiana and the 100 degree temperatures. The Hogs will travel to Little Rock this week to host the Samford Bulldogs.
Over Arkansas Fight, Doc Harper felt like he had to address the USA Today article about the Bielemas “throwing the A.” Have you seen this? Coach Bret and his wife Jen, started a new thing called Throwing the A. Seems like USA Today took issue with it calling a gang sign.
Arkansas Fight also has a nice preview of Samford.
Over at Razorbloggers, they guys just want to keep the momentum going while talking about Samford. They also take the opportunity to bounce predictions around the table. How do you think this week’s game will turn out?
Are you still unsure how to catch the game on TV this week? Sharp has the details over at Hog Database. By the way, my favorite part of Sharp’s website is the detailed history of the Razorback helmets.
At Sporting Life Arkansas, Rex Nelson tries to shed light on the Little Rock/War Memorial Stadium debate. Speaking of War Memorial Stadium, it will host War Memorial Stadium Military Appreciation Day festivities during the Hog game with Samford on Saturday. SLA has all those details and it should make for a great day of celebration for a Razorback win and our military men and women.
Finally, at SLA, Jim Harris spends time talking about the great Dan Hampton, former Razorback and Chicago Bear defensive lineman. Hampton was at the Little Rock Touchdown club earlier this week. Hampton was a native Arkansan as he was from Jacksonville. We could use more like Hampton.
It was a great week for Razorback fans, and the Fayetteville Flyer let us know that it only got better when Trey Flowers was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against Louisiana.
