Presented by the Belle Meade Plantation Belles Doll Club at Shoney's Restaurant in Bellevue, TN, Nashville recording artist Samantha Newark, the voice of Jem and Jerrica on the hit 80's animated television series "Jem & The Holograms," will talk about her career as "Jem," other characters, and her music career at the January 5 meeting. According to Interview with Original Jem-Girl, Samantha Newark, the Voice of Jem on 'Jem & the Holograms' in addition to her work in the Jem series, Newark has provided voice overs and vocals for "Transformers," the feature film "Hook" (where she provided the voice of Peter Pan's mother), "Britney Spears Dance Beat," "Project A-KO," and Sony Play Station Games including "God of War," "Twisted Metal Black" and "Wild Arm's 3.
Guests are welcome to attend the January 5 meeting to meet "Jem" and Samantha Newark for $3 at the door. Newark will also have photos on hand to auotograph. Please RSVP at barbieintn@yahoo.com.
Jem Doll Display
The club will also have a large display of Jem dolls and memorabilia for guests to enjoy, and Newark says she might bring a couple of her own dolls to display.
