Electric-Blues Guitarist and Vocalist Samantha Fish will help to open festivities of the Spa City Blues Society’s 17th Annual Hot Springs Blues Festival when she performs at The Ohio Club on Thursday, August 29th. Sponsored by Oak Park Pharmacy, this event is FREE and open to the public.

Raised in Kansas City, Fish decided start playing the Guitar at the tender age of 15. Shortly after, she would take an interest in the Blues music genre. Influenced by such legendary acts as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Freddie King, and Elmore James, Fish wanted to incorporate her own unique sounds to the Blues. In 2011, she showcased her original and authentic style of the Blues when she released her debut release Runaway.

Runaway featured 10 tracks which included original material along with Soul & Blues-inspired renditions of popular songs. The debut release would help to earn Fish her first Blues Music Award in 2012. She would win the coveted award for “Best New Artist Debut” at the awards ceremony.

Samantha Fish would go on to share the stage with other huge influences in her musical career. Some of these artists whom Fish shared the stage with include Tab Benoit, Watermelon Slim, and Tommy Castro. In 2011, Fish would join forces with fellow female artists Dani Wilde and Cassie Taylor as “Girls With Guitars” representing the 2011 Ruf Records Blues Caravan Tour. A year later, the tour would continue with the trio being called “More Girls With Guitars”. Fish and Wilde would continue on the 2012 tour with newcomer Victoria Smith joining the new lineup.

At a young age, Samantha Fish continues to win recognition for our unique sounds and her impressive Guitar instrumentations.
