Lee Spencer of FoxSports.com is reporting that sources indicate that three-time IndyCar Champion and Indianapolis 500 winner Sam Hornish will share seat time in the #54 Toyota Camry with Kyle Busch in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2014.
Sam Hornish was runner-up in the NASCAR Nationwide series points standings in his second - and final - full season in the series driving for Penske Racing in the #12. Penske Racing could not secure the sponsorship funding for 2014 and Hornish was free to pursue other options. Hornish has two wins in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with the second coming at Las Vegas Motorsport in March of 2012.
According to Kyle Busch's website, Busch is scheduled to run a similar schedule in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2013. The current schedule would have Sam Hornish running seven races including Talladega SuperSpeedway, Iowa Speedway, Mid-Ohio, Road America, Kentucky and Chicagoland in 2014.
Kyle Busch and the #54 Monster Energy team won 12 races in 2013.
