Sam Bailey, 36, has announced that she's pregnant with her third child. The baby is due in late December 2014, possibly on Dec. 31. According to the Daily Mirror, Bailey made the announcement on March 5, 2014.

Bailey, a former prison guard, was the winner of "The X Factor" U.K. in 2013. She and her husband, Craig (who is 40), have an 8-year-old daughter named Brooke and a 5-year-old son named Tommy.

Bailey told the Daily Mirror that she took the pregnancy test while she and her husband were shopping in a grocery store: “I went and did it in the toilet while he was getting all the food. I came out and I went, ‘Yep, I’m pregnant.' It wasn’t planned.

"When I got into the car I was really upset because I thought I’d let everyone at my management and the record label down. But they were really good about it. I was going to go on tour solo at the end of October [2014] but I have managed to move it to January [2015].”

On Feb. 27, 2014, Bailey announced details for her 2015 "The Power of Love" tour of the United Kingdom. The announcement was made on her official Internet outlets, such as her Facebook page. Tickets went on sale on Feb. 28, 2014. (See the tour dates at the end of this article.)

The tour begins on Jan. 29, 2015. If Bailey gives birth by the due date, that means her baby will be less than a month old when she goes on tour.

As for her unexpected pregnancy, Bailey said that one of the first people she told was Sharon Osbourne, who was Bailey's "X Factor" mentor. Osbourne, the wife/manager of Ozzy Osbourne is also a mother of three kids. Bailey told the Daily Mirror: “I’m quite close to Sharon. We speak quite a lot. She’s my confidante and has known about the pregnancy. She’s been great.”

As part of her "X Factor" grand prize, Bailey is signed to Syco Music, the record company co-owned by Simon Cowell and Sony Music. Cowell (who is 54) became a first-time father when his son Eric was born on Feb. 14, 2014.

Bailey said about Cowell: “I hope I’ll see him soon. I can teach him how to change a nappy.”

As previously reported, Sam Bailey's first album, "The Power of Love," is set for release in the U.K. and Ireland on March 24, 2014.

Bailey's "The Power of Love" album consists almost entirely of cover songs. Her version of Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper," which is on the album, debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. in Ireland when Bailey's remake of "Skyscraper" was released in December 2013.

"Compass" and "There You'll Be," which were both written by Diane Warren, are the only two new songs on the album.

BBC Radio 2 debuted "Compass" on Feb. 18, 2014.

The rest of the album consists of songs that were originally hits for other artists, such as Jennifer Rush ("The Power of Love"), Jennifer Holliday ("And I Am Telling You"), Supertramp ("Lord Is It Mine"), Oleta Adams ("Get Here"), Bruno Mars ("Treasure"), Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell ("Ain't No Mountain High Enough") and Alicia Keys ("Superwoman").

Bailey is currently on "The X Factor" U.K. 2014 tour, which features the show's Top 8 finalists from 2013. The tour began on Feb. 15 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and ends March 29 in Birmingham, England.
