Many retail organizations hire more people during the holiday season. The Salvation Army of Broward County is in the process of hiring 125 employees for its holiday bell ringing campaign. The positions pay $8 an hour and work will begin in mid-November, according to an article by Marcia Heroux Pounds in the October 1 Sun Sentinel.
"I just love the Salvation Army bell ringers. I remember as a child putting a quarter in their collection containers. Who knows, maybe I will apply for one of those jobs," said Aimee Perez.
