Most of us have had the fantasy at some point of stretching summer out just a few days longer, squeezing out just a little more fun before we have to be responsible again.
Though they can’t control time, Salt Lake Acting Company is trying to do what they can to help out with that. They’ve extended their run of “Saturday’s Voyeur” another week, pushing the closing date from September 5 all the way to September 12 (the play runs Wednesdays through Sundays, and tickets are available online). The show, which draws its inspiration from some of the states strangest news stories over the past year (Orrin Hatch’s Hanukkah song, Kevin Garn’s hot tub confession), has gotten some excellent reviews from both critics and audience members.
September also marks the 40th birthday of the Salt Lake Acting Company (the company was formed in 1970), and though their new season doesn’t start until the first part of October they’re stretching out “Voyeur” as part of the celebration. If you want to bring a group of people for the party, SLAC offers group discounts for parties of ten or more; otherwise, the tickets are $39 to $54 each depending on the performance date.
