This tastes so much better than the stuff in a jar. Use fresh tomatoes if you have them.

Salsa - Make Your Own (MYO)
Ingredients:
1 can (14 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes, chopped and drained (reserve liquid)
1 small jalapeno, very finely chopped (use less if you prefer less heat, maybe use only 1 Tbsp.)
1 small onion, finely chopped (I prefer red or Vidalia)
1 small bell pepper, finely chopped (I prefer red, but green works)
1 to 2 tsp. lime juice
several Tbsp. fresh roughly chopped cilantro (I use about 3 to 4 Tbsp. - we love Cilantro)
a dash of salt (about 1 tsp.)
Add all together, including about 1/2 the liquid from the drained tomatoes. Cover and let sit overnight in the fridge to let flavors mix. Makes equivalent of large jar of salsa (about 2 cups)
