Sunday, August 17th, 2014- Indulgence Salon opened their doors and hearts to give away seventeen haircuts to children in need. Many stylists at Indulgence Salon have children or are a single parent and understand the struggles and hardships many parents face just to send their kids back to school with supplies let alone a new haircut.
Normally closed on Sundays, Indulgence's staff members were riddled with excitement to see six to eight children waiting an hour before the event even started. Children were given goody bags provided by staff member Maritza Brigantti-Armstead and family. Each bag offered a couple pieces of candy as well as a two pencils. All staff pitched in and brought snacks and drinks for guests to snack on while stylists worked hard to give all the kids their new back to school doo!
This is not Indulgence Salon's first time giving back in their ten years serving Fort Myers. Giving back to the community has always been a passion of the staffs. City of Hope was one of their first fundraising events in 2004 , then followed by Riddim Runway, and the Lissabet Anna Buessing Foundation, as well as Easter Seals School for Autism.
Indulgence Salon offers hair, nail, facial, waxing and barbering services. They are open Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays. Most stylists will accommodate your schedule and some even work late hours so you can get in after work. They definitely go the extra mile and give superb customer service.
