Salman Rushdie still hopelessly in love with Padma, ex says

In an interview with New York Post, ex-girlfriend actress Pia Glenn says that Salman Rushdie is still hopelessly in love with his gorgeous ex, Padma Lakshmi.  She says he talks about her day and night and describe how he felt hurt and betrayed by her. He would talk about her so much that she would have to ask him to stop.

Pia fell in love with Rushdie recently and even moved into his home in New York earlier this year when Rushdie told her that he loved her.  It soon became clear to her, however, that Rushdie was still in love with Padma and kept talking about her.  They had a big fight in London but before she left Rushdie said "See you in 48 hours".  However when she landed, she found out Rushdie had dumped her by e-mail.  Pia felt "like I'd been hit by a truck".

Pia told Britain's Mail on Sunday she believed Rushdie was "cowardly, dysfunctional and immature." She said he pursued her for more than a year after they met at a dinner party at Monty Python star Eric Idle's Hollywood home in September 2007. In the interview she also said "Its clear that he's not interested in friendship now, which calls into question why he was interested in me in the first place. If I had thought he only wanted me for sex, I would have gotten out immediately."
