Salman Khan to produce small budget Hindi movies under 'Being Human' banner

The Hindustan Times reported on Jan 29, 2013, that after producing a National Award-winning commercial Hindi movie "Chillar Party", Bollywood actor Salman Khan has now confirmed that some more projects are in the pipeline under the banner Salman Khan Being Human Productions (SKBHP).

Earlier there were reports that Salman Khan is keen to produce a Hindi remake of director Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi movies "Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy" and "Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho".

Later there were a rumour that as Salman is busy, Mahesh has turned to Akshay Kumar but now Salman himself has confirmed that he is making the films.

Salman, who is always acting in big-budget movies like "Ek Tha Tiger", "Bodyguard", "Dabangg", "Ready" has a different strategy for Being Human Productions which is to make movies on smaller budgets.

He said that the money that goes into production from their pockets, but not the foundation’s money.

The idea is to make a good movie with little money that brings in big business and helps the foundation grow.

The banner’s aim is to make feel-good films for kids and he said that there is no sequel to Chillar Party.
