Sally Kern divorce law forces big religion on Oklahomans

Rep. Sally Kern (R-OK Dist. 84) proposed House Bill 2279 would restrict the "use of incompatibility as a ground for divorce" in Oklahoma.

If passed, the act would become effective on Nov. 1 and would make divorce illegal under these conditions:

• There are living minor children of the marriage
• The parties have been married 10 years or longer
• Either party files a written objection to the granting of a divorce

 Sally Kern has been vocal about her belief that divorce is one of the issues causing problems in America. She also blames Obama and gays.

However, she is one of the problems in Oklahoma causing problems for Oklahomans. She does not want Big Government but she does want Big Religion to tell the Government how to treat citizens. She wants to legalize and enforce her brand of religion on the people. This should be recognized as a blatant assault on this great Secular nation but since she did get elected into office, perhaps there are a majority of people who want to inflict Government with Big Religion.

It is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the state of Oklahoma that Sally Kern was elected as a Representative to this great state. It is only a matter of time, if it has not already happen, that national news programs will report and ridicule the intelligence of Oklahomans because of another Sally Kern debacle.

Sad but true that our representatives represent our state and give us a bad reputation.
