The Baltimore Sun reported on Wednesday morning that two people were killed in a murder-suicide and a Salisbury University student was injured in a triple-shooting just off the eastern edge of the University’s campus on Tuesday evening.
The school is located in Salisbury, Maryland, on the eastern shore. Salisbury’s Police Department said that the triple-shooting occurred in the 100 block of Onley Road which is right next to the campus’ property. The University notified students of the incident at approximately 8 p.m. with the announcement that there were no continuing threats to the campus community.
Janet Dudley-Eshbach, the president of the university relayed via a statement that the two deceased persons in the incident were not believed to have been Salisbury University students. However, the surviving person involved with the incident was a female student from the school. That student was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for medical treatment.
Salisbury University is a public institution of learning.
