In their latest fiscal report, Koei Tecmo revealed the sales results so far for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Fist of the North Star.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was released worldwide in September (North America) and October (Europe and Japan) of last year. The enhanced port sold 480,000 units so far on the Playstation 3. Although Fist of the North Star was only released recently in Japan, it has already outsold Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 action title based on the popular anime is at 570,000 units. The other big release for Koei Tecmo in the last fiscal year is Samurai Warriors 3 on the Nintendo, which sold 270,00 units in Japan.
Although there is no official announcement for a North American release, more violent version of Fist of the North Star will be released this summer in Europe. Samurai Warriors 3 is slated for a fall release in North America.

some people were still skeptical to buy Sigma 2 because Sigma 1 was really hard.
But you have to admit that the sales for Sigma 2 was good because ports don't make that much sales.
