Do you want to take a spooky night time lantern-led stroll down Salem’s historic shadowy streets? The Salem Night “Ghost Walking” Tour is a great way to discover the ghosts, the witches, and the legends of this very haunted city!
Salem, Massachusetts is not your average American city. Author Nathaniel Hawthorne once called it the "cursed city", famous for its execution of 20 colonists for Witchcraft in 1692. Salem Night Tour will take you up-close-and-personal with Salem's amazing Haunted sites.
The Salem Night Tour starts from The Remember Salem Gift shop every evening at 8:00 p.m. The tours center on the sites of the witchcraft trials, as well as other spooky locales in Salem such as the allegedly haunted Nathaniel Hawthorne Hotel, Old Salem Jail, Howard Street Cemetery, Old Burying Point, Saint Peter’s Church, The Witch Memorial, Peabody Essex Museum, John Ward House and much, much more!
The tour guides adopt Colonial dress--we were led by an elegant pirate named Tim. The guides portray specific historical characters in Salem’s vast history. They are expert storytellers, licensed and experienced, and some of them have witnessed a ghost or two on their tours.
Our guide, Tim, was very professional, knew his history and horror stories. He took a personal interest in the well-being of all the guests in his tour group. He had a special flare to keep the tour fun and entertaining so that everyone was eager to learn more.
Each tour lasts 90 minutes, and the guides recommend that you dress warmly, especially during the winter months. The Salem Night Tour runs all year, spots fill up quickly, so advance reservations are strongly suggested.
Let the guides of Salem Night Tour lead you through the history of Salem's most haunted sites while you decide if they are worthy of being some of America's most haunted places. Take a camera with you! You never know what spirits are lurking in the dark!
