Saiyuki: Reload: recommendation and review

This review and recommendation is on Saiyuki Reload. It is the sequel to Saiyuki. It is by Kazuya Minekura. It is release by TokyoPop and is an ongoing series.

It’s the continuing story of Son Goku, Genjyo Sanzo, Sha Gojyo, and Cha Hakkai. It leaves off where the other one ends. It makes a few references to Dragon Ball and Saiyuki. They are being chased by Youkai (Demon). Because of this, they are acting more suspicious than usual. Mainly, Sanzo doesn’t want everybody knowing that he is a Sanzo priest. But because they are being followed, what Sanzo wants is what he gets. The situation becomes worse the closer they get to India. What happens next? You’ll have to read to find out!

This series is recommended for Older Teens and up. It is recommended for everyone in that age group to read it, but it is mainly intended for the female in mind. Because of the fact all four of the male characters are pretty boys and girls have the tendency to pair the boys together. It is recommended for people who are fans of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. It is based on the same Chinese legend of Journey to the West about the Monkey King. It is very funny. Just read it.

If you live in the Colorado Springs area, this series can be found at you local PPLD branch or any bookstore that carries manga. Happy Reading!
