Several new details have been revealed for the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Saints Row 4.” According to a report by Videogaming247, the latest video game from the “Saint’s Row” franchise is not coming to the PS4 and Xbox 720. Instead, the sequel will be released for the current-generation consoles sometime in the North American region during the month of August. You can check out some screens from “Saints Row: The Third” in the slideshow at the top of this article.

“Saints Row: The Third” was released for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms in North America on Nov. 15, 2011. Like its prequel, “Saints Row 4” is being developed by Volition. THQ originally held the publishing rights for the sequel before they went bankrupt and were forced to sell off their assets. As a result, Deep Silver is now responsible for publishing “Saints Row 4.”

The PS4 and Xbox 720 should be released later this holiday season. Sony unveiled the PS4 on Feb. 20 while Microsoft is rumored to be doing the same for the Xbox 720 on April 26.
