Saints Row IV has landed on top of the UK Sales charts for a fourth straight week. The sales rankings were released this morning and the title managed to maintain its pincer-like grasp of the number one slot despite a reported drop in sales revenues of 30 percent.
While the game's developers can certainly be very pleased about a month at the top of the game sales rankings, they have to know that the run is about to come to and end with the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 this Tuesday. Despite what is sure to be a bit of a fall next week, Saints Row IV did manage to hold off some pretty popular games for another seven days, including Diablo III's much anticipated console release and Disney Infinity.
A Playstation 3 only title in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD took the #2 spot in the rankings while Diablo III managed to get number three. Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Disney Infinity rounded out the top five spots. Among the games that make up the bottom 5, Minecraft: 360 Edition has to be the most impressive as it has managed to stay in the top 10 for a good long while and comes in at number 6 this week.
When talking about games that have dropped out of the top 10, FIFA 13 has finally ended its run, though that's likely thanks in large part to the imminent release of FIFA 14 which will in turn spend almost an entire year in the top 10 of the UK video games sales rankings.
Pay Day 2, Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes, Lego: The Lord of the Rings and Rome: Total War II round out the top 10.
